A DVS Now kiosk is a Minnesota Department of Public Safety machine that offers a fast and easy way to renew vehicle registration tabs.

Simply type your license plate number and the last three digits of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the touchscreen.

The ATM-like machine will accept your payment and print your vehicle registration tab on the spot!

You can renew your registration if your name, address and vehicle information are correct on your renewal notice and the renewal notice lists DVS Now kiosks as one of the ways you can renew.

You can renew at a DVS Now kiosk up to 6 months before your expiration date and up to 10 months after your expiration date.

Along with the total fees due listed on your renewal notice, there is a $4.95 service fee for each vehicle renewed at the kiosk.

There is an additional 2.49 percent credit card processing fee if you pay by credit card. There is a similar credit card processing fee if you choose to renew online or in-person at a motor vehicle office.

Credit and debit cards are accepted.

You can use a kiosk to renew passenger vehicles and motorcycles.

Simply scan the barcode on your renewal notice or type your license plate number and the last three digits of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the touchscreen.

Follow the instructions and pay fees. The machine will print your receipt and your vehicle registration tabs.
